SWLA Economic Development Alliance Seeks Civic Service Award Nominees

The Southwest Louisiana Economic Development Alliance is seeking nominations for outstanding volunteers for the Civic Service Award to be given at its 122nd Annual Banquet on Tuesday, Jan. 13. Nominations are open to any person who has made outstanding contributions to SWLA in their profession, personal life, community or civic service. Nominations will close on Friday, January 2, 2026.

Criteria for Recognition: 

Nominees must be Southwest Louisiana residents living or serving in the region. Champions demonstrate dedication to enhancing the lives of Southwest Louisiana citizens through the following examples:

  • Contributions to community progress during 2025 in political, economic, and cultural areas.
  • Civic leadership to the community outside of the individual's vocation or profession.
  • Outstanding personal, professional, or business contributions to the community.
  • Service to the community through religious and fraternal affiliation
